    Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a traditional festival that dates back to pre-Colombian times in the Americas that celebrates the lives of those who have passed and moved on to the afterlife. Colorful masks, costumes, dancing and music are a part of the pageantry of this vibrant ancient festival. Milwaukee wants to celebrate this traditional holiday with a community-based parade on Friday, November 2, 2012 through the Walker Square Neighborhood. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO BE IN THE PARADE Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) We need your support. Necesitamos su apoyo. ¡We cannot do this without you! We need help with puppet making, musical instrument making, mask making, and more. We also need musicians, dancers, artists, students, moms, dads and lots of community members to parade with us. In addition, your financial support and in-kind donations will help ensure the success of Milwaukee’s inaugural Dia de los Muertos Parade. ¡No podemos hacer esto sin usted!

Partnering with the Community We are working to promote other venues in the area that celebrate El Día de los Muertos.
